Worker Critical After Drill Bit Pierces Skull
From Times Wire Reports
A construction worker was critically injured in a freak accident Friday that was described by the fire chief as the most bizarre accident he had seen in his 32 years as a firefighter.
The unidentified man was working with a drill when he lost control and its 18-inch bit drilled through his skull above his right eye. Fire Chief Mike Terwilliger said the man was conscious and talking after the accident. He was flown to Washoe Medical Center in Reno.
