Award-winning ‘Foo-Foo Dust’ at Laemmle’s Fairfax
“Foo-Foo Dust,” a documentary exploring the relationship between a 52-year-old crack-addicted UC Berkeley graduate and her 22-year-old junkie son, begins a one-week Academy Award-qualifying run Friday at Laemmle’s Fairfax. The film, directed by Gina Levy and Eric Johnson, won the award for best documentary short in June at the IFP Los Angeles Film Festival and Calendar columnist Al Martinez wrote about the film on July 18.
