1 Man Shot to Death, 1 Wounded in Taxicab

A 24-year-old man sitting behind the wheel of an out-of-service taxicab was shot to death and another man in the car was critically wounded early Sunday morning, police said.
The dead man was discovered by police officers about 2:50 a.m. at 1363 E. 45th St., authorities said. While officers were investigating the death, another man appeared with a gunshot wound to his back. He was taken to County-USC Medical Center in critical condition. The slain man was not connected with a cab company, police said.
