Wal-Mart Math
I must commend Wal-Mart spokeswoman Mona Williams’ (letter, Nov. 28) attempted use of red herrings and platitudes to obscure the plain truth.
The threat to existing unionized supermarkets is the central fact that Wal-Mart is a nonunion shop. Wal-Mart pays significantly less per employee. This fact has nothing to do with quantity of employees overall or per store. It doesn’t take Newtonian math skills to figure that one out.
