‘Homebody/Kabul’ sets Brooklyn run

The Mark Taper Forum version of Tony Kushner’s “Homebody/Kabul,” seen at the Taper this fall, will transfer to the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York for a May 11-30 run, again starring Linda Emond and Maggie Gyllenhaal in her New York stage debut.

The play ran in New York two years ago but was rewritten for the productions this year at the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago and the Taper. The run will be billed as a co-production between the Brooklyn Academy and the Taper’s Center Theatre Group in association with Steppenwolf.
