Omnicom’s Profit Climbs 23% in Quarter

Omnicom Group Inc., the world’s biggest owner of ad agencies, said fourth-quarter earnings rose 23%.
Net income climbed to $201.5 million, or $1.08 a share, from $164.1 million, or 87 cents, a year earlier. Sales rose 7.5% to $2.12 billion, the New York-based company said.
Omnicom, whose agencies include BBDO Worldwide and TBWA/Chiat/Day, is one of the few ad companies reporting a jump in sales and earnings.
Omnicom shares rose $3.35 to $57.35 on the NYSE.
