Guilty Plea Expected in Killing of Gay Couple

James Tyler Williams has agreed to a plea deal in the July 1999 killings of a gay couple in Happy Valley, a newspaper reported Wednesday.
Williams, 32, is expected to plead guilty Friday in Shasta County Superior Court to killing Gary Matson and Winfield Mowder with the help of his older brother, Benjamin Matthew Williams, in a rural area near Redding. Benjamin Williams killed himself in November in the Shasta County jail.
