U.S. Troops Destroy Large Arms Cache

A massive arms cache found on Afghanistan’s border with Pakistan was destroyed by U.S. troops, the military said.
The cache, found Sunday in Spin Buldak, included more than 1,000 mortar bombs, 93 rocket-propelled grenades, more than 300 pounds of high explosives, 100 122-millimeter rockets and 100 antitank and antipersonnel mines, the military said in a statement.
The cache also included hundreds of heavy machine-gun rounds, the statement said.
