New Suit Filed to Halt Yucca Mountain Site

The state filed another constitutional challenge to the federal government’s plan to bury the nation’s nuclear waste 90 miles from Las Vegas.
The lawsuit -- the sixth lodged by the state to stop the federal plan to bury highly radioactive waste at Yucca Mountain -- accuses the government of “arbitrarily and discriminatorily” changing rules to approve the site.
