Sentence in Credit-Card Theft Tied to LAX Plot

A former Massachusetts health club instructor was sentenced to more than a year in prison for stealing members’ credit-card information and giving it to an Algerian man who plotted to bomb Los Angeles International Airport.
Although Mohamed Amry, 37, pleaded guilty to stealing the information, he was not charged in the bombing plot.
Amry, an Algerian who had worked at a Cambridge, Mass., Bally’s Total Fitness, had pleaded guilty to six counts of bank fraud and trafficking in stolen identification documents.
