A Fellow Deliveryman’s Tale
I enjoyed reading Andy Meisler’s hilarious true-life article about his experiences as a Pink Dot deliveryman (“Pink Dot Nation,” May 11). My trophy story is about the time in Los Angeles when I decided to deliver new advertising books in my gas-guzzling pickup truck, while paying for my own gas and expenses. After about a week of lugging the heavy books up and down stairs, pulling into and out of tight spaces, and then getting my paycheck, I realized that the amount of money I had at the end of the week just about equaled the money I had at the start of the job.
