Kevin Millwood didn’t have much luck against his old teammates.

Russ Ortiz pitched six shutout innings and Robert Fick had three runs batted in, leading the Atlanta Braves over Millwood and the Phillies, 6-1, Wednesday night at Philadelphia.

Facing his former team for the first time, Millwood (8-5) gave up four runs and eight hits in five innings. It was his fourth loss in his last five starts, and he’s given up 12 runs and 19 hits in his last two outings.

Tom Glavine, who signed with the New York Mets after 16 seasons with the Braves, also lost his first start against his former team.

“It was just like when we faced Tommy,” Brave Manager Bobby Cox said. “You hope it’s a 1-0 game and you win.”

Millwood was traded to the Phillies for minor league catcher Johnny Estrada in a cost-cutting move last December.

New York 10, Florida 5 -- Jose Reyes had a bases-loaded triple, a double and four RBIs at Miami, and Al Leiter won for the fourth time in five starts.

Reyes was brought up on June 10 and has 11 RBIs in 35 at-bats.

Milwaukee’s Wes Helms left the game with a bruised left knee after getting plunked by Jason Simontacchi in the second inning and Cardinal second baseman Miguel Cairo left in the sixth with a broken bone in his left hand. Cairo was hit by a fastball from right-hander Dan Kolb.

Colorado 5, San Diego 3 -- Shawn Chacon pitched 6 2/3 strong innings at Denver to become the majors’ fifth 10-game winner.

The Pirates won the first game behind homers by Aramis Ramirez, Kenny Lofton and Reggie Sanders.
