Two-Game Streak Is the Goal
After giving interim Coach Dennis Johnson his first victory, 103-97 at Chicago on Saturday, the Clippers will shoot for their first two-game winning streak in nearly two months tonight at Atlanta.
The Clippers are 6-20 since they defeated Memphis and Seattle in consecutive games in early January but they are coming off an impressive effort against the Bulls. Corey Maggette scored 25 points and Quentin Richardson had 21 for the Clippers, who ended an eight-game losing streak.
“Winning in the fashion we did makes me feel good,” Johnson told Chicago reporters after Saturday’s victory. “We made few mistakes [eight turnovers], we rebounded well and we executed well.”
