$900,000 Settlement Set in Death of Jailed Man

The children of a man who died in a city jail four years ago while going through alcohol withdrawal will receive about $900,000 in a wrongful death settlement with San Joaquin County and Lodi.
Anthony Lumley, 31, died in 1999 when he struck his head on a toilet after a seizure while awaiting arraignment. He had been arrested two days before his death on suspicion of drunken driving in a pickup loaded with guns.
