Boy Injured in Fire That Destroys Home

A boy suffered minor burns late Friday while fleeing a fire that destroyed his family’s home, authorities said.
A mother and her two children, who were not identified, fled their home on Calle Vista del Monte after the blaze broke out about 11:30 p.m. Friday.
The cause of the fire, which caused damage estimated at more than $150,000, remained under investigation. American Red Cross officials helped the family with lodging.
