Drinking and Driving
Re “Where Six-Packs Still Ride Shotgun,” May 6: Anybody who thinks that Californians don’t drink while they are driving has never ridden a motorcycle in city traffic. Pulling up beside cars and trucks on a motorbike gives an excellent view of the various beverages that drivers imbibe on their journeys. Not only that, but being out in the air frequently exposes a rider to the pungent fragrance of marijuana emanating from somebody’s car.
The thing that really bothers me is smelling the fresh coffee that I can’t drink while riding in to work in the morning.
