A temporary restraining order targeting drug activity at a San Pedro house marks a twist in the city attorney’s use of court orders

“This is one of the few times that we’ve actually been able to acquire a temporary restraining order against a property based on declarations from about 24 neighbors,” city attorney’s spokesman Frank Mateljan said.

On Wednesday, a court order was issued barring Michael Collins, 44, from allowing illegal activity to occur at his home on West Silvius Street. Collins, who is not a gang member but has been convicted of illegal narcotics use, previously owned the home and continues to live there.
