Verizon Will Offer DirecTV, Sources Say

Verizon Communications Inc., the No. 1 U.S. phone company, will offer DirecTV service as part of its product mix under a marketing pact to be unveiled as early as today, sources told Reuters.
Verizon will add satellite TV to its suite of wireless, Internet and phone services next year, one of the sources said.
Verizon and DirecTV, the No. 1 U.S. satellite TV service with 12 million subscribers, declined to comment.
DirecTV is a unit of El Segundo-based Hughes Electronics Corp., which is majority owned by News Corp.
