Jury Deliberates in Sniper Murder Trial
Jurors in the murder trial of sniper suspect John Allen Muhammad continued deliberations but went home for the weekend after meeting about four hours. They met for about 15 minutes late Thursday after closing arguments.
The jury requested of Prince William Circuit Judge LeRoy F. Millette Jr. a tape recorder to review evidence on a 911 tape. Millette granted the request, but a tape player could not be found by the time the jury left the Virginia Beach courthouse at 1 p.m.
Muhammad is charged with the Oct. 9, 2002 slaying of Dean Harold Meyers in Manassas.
