Police Search for Man in Attempted Rape
ANAHEIM
Anaheim police on Thursday asked for the public’s help in finding a man who they said tried to rape a woman after he gave her a ride.
The man, driving a teal Camaro, agreed to take the woman to Westminster on Monday, but he drove to the Brea Canyon area and attacked her, police said.
Motorists spotted the partially clothed woman running in the street and called police.
The man is white, in his early 40s, about 5 feet 7 with short blond hair, a mustache and blue eyes.
His left hand has short index, middle and ring fingers, possibly cut off at the middle knuckle.
