Airplane legroom, common courtesy

Recently, I flew to Kansas City, Mo., from LAX. A woman sitting in the seat ahead of mine reclined her chair as far as possible, which made it extremely uncomfortable for me during the two-hour, 40-minute flight. When she got up to use the restroom, I would lean forward, push the button and return her seat to the full upright position. Each time she returned, she would again recline her chair to its maximum reclined position. It would be courteous to ask if the person behind would mind before reclining the seat.
