Bombs at Islamic School Kill 8 in Karachi
From Times Wire Reports
Two bombs exploded near an Islamic school in southern Pakistan, killing eight people and injuring 42.
The blasts went off near Jamia Binoria, a Sunni Muslim school in western Karachi, said Fayyaz Leghari, a senior city police official. Some of the dead were students, but no casualty breakdown was available. There was no claim of responsibility.
A spokesman for the school, Ghulam Rabbani, said there were two blasts -- the first apparently intended to draw a crowd. “The first one was smaller. When people got to the site there was another,” he said.
