Coastal Commission OKs Headlands Plan
From Times staff reports
The California Coastal Commission has approved development plans for the Dana Point Headlands, one of Southern California’s last undeveloped promontories.
The approval, sought by developer Sanford Edward and the city of Dana Point, calls for 125 single-family homes, a 65- to 90-room inn, 35,000 square feet of commercial office space and nearly 69 acres of public parks, trails and open space.
The proposal now goes to the city Planning Commission.
