Texas kept alive the nation’s longest home winning streak by converting from the free-throw line.

The No. 3 Longhorns, who improved to 14-1 overall and 2-0 in the Big 12 Conference, shot only 32% from the field but made 26 of 31 free throws, including three by guard Nina Norman over the last 22 seconds, to hold off the No. 15 Sooners, 63-58, on Saturday.

Norman, a 52% free-throw shooter this season, made 11 of 12 against the Sooners (11-2, 1-1) and led the Longhorns with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

This was close to the kind of complete game Coach Tara VanDerveer has been looking and hoping for from the Cardinal, which improved to 20-3 against the Wildcats (12-4, 4-1) in Maples Pavilion and 9-1 at home this season.
