Referee Mike O’Conner stopped the game after noticing the Gienger was in distress. The half closed out with O’Conner officiating by himself. Edison Athletic Director Bruce Belcher found a replacement for the second half, Kris Locken.

Gienger said Friday that he was fine.

“My sugar got too low,” he said. “It happens sometimes. It’s nothing.”
