Girl Dies From Injuries in El Toro Road Crash

A 5-year-old girl died early Friday from injuries she suffered in a traffic collision, officials said.
Cheyenne McKean of Aliso Viejo was pronounced dead at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center about 2:35 a.m. Friday, a day after the Ford Explorer she was riding in collided with a Honda Civic on El Toro Road at the northbound Highway 73 exit ramp.
The girl’s mother and two siblings suffered less serious injuries. The driver of the Civic received minor injuries.
An investigation is continuing to determine who was at fault, authorities said.
