Hemingway Access
Re “Papa’s ‘Last Retreat,’ ” July 20: It is frustrating that the literary public is denied access to Ernest Hemingway’s home in Ketchum, Idaho. It is ironic and equally frustrating that U.S. citizens who might choose to visit Hemingway’s residence in Cuba are also denied access. Both are examples of the pervasive mean-spiritedness that blankets our so-called civil society.
