Woman Cleared in Death Is Deported
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
An illegal immigrant arrested in the death of her newborn son, then cleared when investigators determined the infant probably died at birth, has been deported to Mexico.
Reyna Garcia Hernandez, 23, was ordered deported during a July 14 hearing in Los Angeles, said Greg Gagne, a spokesman for the federal Executive Office for Immigration Review.
Hernandez was arrested June 29 and booked for investigation of murder after police questioned her about the body of a baby found buried at her home.
