Cactus vs. Bush
Re “Wild Man” (May 18): I am so jealous -- to have howled with fellow “wolves” at an Ed Abbey commemoration in Utah, wow! Ten years ago, I devoured most everything Cactus Ed wrote. “Desert Solitaire” should be required reading by the Bush Cabinet. And Ed was right: The only way to really experience open space is on foot!
