Corona For Me will make his first start since he was disqualified out of a win in the Los Alamitos Million on Dec. 12 in tonight’s seventh race, a $12,550 allowance at 350 yards.

Trained by Jaime Gomez for owners Blanco Coralia and James and Marilyn Melzer, the 3-year-old Corona Cartel colt defeated A Regal Choice by a nose in the Million but was disqualified for allegedly drifting in and bumping A Regal Choice and was placed second.

A winner of three of his previous eight starts, Corona For Me will be ridden by Joe Badilla Jr. for the first time tonight.

One of his main rivals is the improving Star Of Corona. Claimed for $10,000 by trainer Jose Antonio Flores for owner Ricardo Sepulveda on April 8, the 3-year-old gelding was third in his first race for the barn, then won by 1 1/4 lengths in his last outing May 20.
