Grade School Vandalism Is Possible Hate Crime

Five classrooms at a San Diego elementary school were vandalized and police were investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.
The damage at Brooklyn Elementary School was discovered early Monday.
Spray paint was used to write on classroom walls and contents of the rooms were found dumped on school grounds.
Papers containing offensive statements that could be linked to hate crimes also were found, police said.
