Gymboree Profit Rises Slightly on Boys Unit

Children’s clothing retailer Gymboree Corp. said fourth-quarter earnings rose slightly, helped by strong performance in its boys business.
Gymboree said it earned $11.2 million, or 36 cents a share, up from $10.6 million, or 35 cents, a year earlier. Sales from retail operations rose 11% during the quarter to $171.8 million.
Shares of Burlingame, Calif.-based Gymboree rose 29 cents to $15.96 on Nasdaq.
