* US Airways Group Inc. and UAL Corp. subsidiary United Airlines confirmed that they had received subpoenas that reportedly were part of a U.S. Treasury Department investigation of the Air Transportation Stabilization Board.

* Solectron Corp., a Milpitas, Calif.-based maker of electronics for other companies, plans to sell its call-center business to HIG Capital in an effort to make a profit this year. Terms weren’t disclosed.

* PalmOne Inc. said its third-quarter net loss narrowed to $9.3 million, or 20 cents a share, compared with a loss from continuing operations of $165.7 million, or $5.70, a year earlier. Per-share amounts reflect a 58% increase in the shares outstanding. Sales increased 23% to $242.5 million.
