Man Found Guilty in Execution-Style Deaths
From Times Wire Reports
Aspiring R&B; artist Alfonso “Slinkey” Blake was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon and one count of attempted murder in the shootings of three young women in the Nevada desert.
The family of the victims hugged each other and cried.
Blake, 34, had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to the March 5, 2003, shootings that killed Sophear Choy, 19, and Priscilla Van Dine, 23. Choy’s 24-year-old sister, Kim, who survived the execution-style shootings, helped to convince a jury of Blake’s guilt when she took the witness stand Tuesday, prosecutors said.
