Malibu Bans Smoking at Beach
From a Times Staff Writer
The Malibu City Council gave final approval Monday to a ban on smoking on the city’s public beaches. The ban, which goes into effect in 30 days, follows similar measures approved recently by Los Angeles, Santa Monica, San Clemente and Solana Beach.
The council approved the ban on a 4-1 vote, the same as the preliminary vote taken May 10.
