Explosion on Bus Injures at Least 22
From Times Wire Reports
An explosion ripped through a bus in Nepal’s capital, injuring at least 22 people today, police and witnesses said.
Police blamed the blast in Katmandu on communist insurgents.
The injured were rushed to the Bir Hospital, and three of them were reported to be in critical condition.
The blast comes just two days before a transportation strike called by the rebels, who have been fighting since 1996 to abolish the monarchy and establish a communist state.
The insurgency has killed more than 9,000 people.
