The red carpet was red hot at the Latin Grammys, where actress Roselyn Sanchez showed off a gown with a plunging gold sequined back that sparkled like the Aztec sun. L.A. designer Louis Verdad dressed vocalist Julieta Venegas like a 1940s pinup in fall’s luscious bottle green, with brooches to match. More sweet than sultry, Jessica Simpson twirled her voluminous skirt for the cameras, modeling Christian Dior’s new New Look. Even the guys got in on the action, with diamonds, guayabera shirts and, for Cafe Tacuba’s Ruben Albarran, the strangest bell-shaped cap with a peephole so he could see where he was going.
