Cleveland Brown rookie tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. needs a second operation on his right leg and will sit out the remainder of the season.

Winslow broke the fibula -- the outer bone in the lower leg -- against Dallas on Sept. 19 and underwent surgery last week. He’ll have the additional procedure today to stabilize ligaments, the Browns said.

Winslow, the No. 6 overall pick in this year’s draft, initially was expected to be out at least eight weeks.
