Bellybuttons and punk rock, that’s so Chateau
So tweens took over the Sunset Strip’s Chateau Marmont last Thursday, as Teen Vogue celebrated its second annual Young Hollywood issue (ya know, the belly-baring babes that are now running showbiz). Among those who got to check out a rad and rare acoustic performance by the cool punk band the Distillers were Dakota Johnson (with mom Melanie Griffith), Kirsten Dunst, Kate Bosworth, Nicole Richie and Samaire Armstrong. Also in on the fun were Matt Dillon, Kimberly Stewart, Frankie Muniz, Amy Smart and JC Chasez, along with the children of Danielle Steele, Henry Winkler, Dustin Hoffman, Harrison Ford, John Ritter and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Gamers get their groove on
Monday night’s Nintendo bash at Joseph’s Cafe in Hollywood kicked off the upcoming Fusion tour, which includes such bands as Story of the Year, Lostprophets, My Chemical Romance and Letter Kills. While DJ Orlando kicked out the jams, guests got to enjoy the party favors: new Game Cubes.... In more celebrity news, not even fisticuffs could stop the fun at the Key Club on Saturday, as rapper Flavor Flav performed Public Enemy classics as well as new material. Members of Fear Factory, Jodeci and NKOTB’s Jordan Knight were seen cheering him on. Although the crowd went nuts for opening act Paypa Bois, security had to stop the set while a fight was settled....
Life got you down? Check

Wicked good times for all

Spotted getting his Thrills: Former Laker coach Phil Jackson happened by the El Rey Theatre on Monday night to see the U.K. rock band.... And don’t miss the grand opening of InFAMOUS, a new Saturday night dance club at Pearl.... Speaking of pearls, we’re still going gaga over Ojai’s pirate festival, which took place over the weekend at Lake Casitas. Nuthin’ like pirates and wenches dancing a jig to make your day. Argggh.... Oakland’s favorite space cowboys, the Phenomenauts, land at the Knitting Factory on Oct. 14. The rock ‘n’ rollers with an intergalactic twist (think astronaut helmets with jet propellers) are celebrating their latest cosmic effort, “Re-Entry.” And be sure to check out their touring van, otherwise known as the
Phenoma Bomber, a silver ’83 Dodge transformed into a tech-head’s astrophysics dream. Rocket roll.
