Update -- Columbus will honor former coach Tom Fitzgerald in a ceremony before the match. Fitzgerald, who coached the Crew from 1996 to 2001 and later was UCLA’s coach, died from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident in Florida on Dec. 4. As part of the tribute, Columbus players will wear a “Fitz” patch on their jerseys throughout the 2005 season.
