Northrop to Install New Social Security Network
Northrop Grumman Corp. was chosen by the Social Security Administration to install and maintain its computer network, a project valued at as much as $153 million over five years.
Northrop will provide engineering services and switching products to the administration’s 1,800 locations, the firm said.
Northrop’s Information Technology unit, based in McLean, Va., will work with Comstor, based in Chantilly, Va., and Communication Supply Corp. of Carol Stream, Ill., to complete the project.
Shares of Century City-based Northrop rose 12 cents to $57.37.
