BUZZ CLUBS
2005’s final answer
Looks like the Flaunt magazine and Hardball Productions New Year’s Eve bash is an early best bet. The duo has taken over the Paramount Pictures back lot for performances by the Pussycat Dolls and the Red Bull Stunt Team, a crew of motocross daredevils.... The Scene bar, the bustling Glendale rock ‘n’ roll venue that only last May finished a makeover that tripled its capacity, is “on the market,” confirms manager and minority owner Carl Lofgren. “We’re hoping we can sell to someone who will keep it as it is, a great place for bands and music fans.” He and the venue’s other minority owner, Dave Neupert, are looking to invest in another nightclub.

for ‘Chicken’
Billy Bob Thornton is among those who RSVPd for “Chicken,” a play premiering tonight at the Lillian Theater co-produced by actor Bruce Dern. Also expected are Jason Patric, Michael Madsen and Dern’s daughter Laura, who used to kick it with Thornton.... Then there’s Jackie Beat, a cross-dresser-with-attitude who brings her naughty Christmas routine to the Cavern Club in Silver Lake, Dec. 9-11.
Black Eyed Peas hosted their seventh annual Pea Pod benefit at the Key Club on Saturday. Cuba Gooding Jr., Paulie Shore, Macy Gray and Josh Duhamel joined the Peas, who raised money for L.A.’s Five Acres children’s home -- a child abuse prevention and care center.... Artists Alan Forbes and Gin Stevens kick off their joint show Friday at L.A.’s La Luz de Jesus Gallery. The work of Forbes, who does art for AFI and the Black Crowes, is collected by the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Jesse James and David Arquette. And Johnny Knoxville is a collector of artist Stevens, whose La Luz show was inspired by the Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds album “Murder Ballads.”... L.A.’s mash-up dance club, Bootie L.A., returns to the Echo in Echo Park on Saturday. Giveaways include “Morcheeba Get Mashed” CDs, as well as “Bootie L.A.” compilations to the first 50 guests, or anyone who sports a Santa hat. Ho ho, let’s go.
