Man Kills Self Before Wife Comes Out of Coma
From Times Wire Reports
Evoking comparisons to “Romeo and Juliet,” a husband in northern Italy killed himself out of grief for his comatose wife, and she woke up hours later, Italian media reported.
RAI state TV said the husband, 71, visited his wife, 67, at least once daily since she fell into a coma after a stroke in September. On Wednesday, he committed suicide at the couple’s Padua-area home. About 12 hours later, she awoke and asked for him, ANSA news agency said.
