In Their Opinion, Something’s Amiss
For 20 years, I’ve lived in San Diego. I read the small, local paper on a daily basis and subscribe to The Times on Sunday. I look forward to the Opinion section so I can get a greater regional, state, national and worldly view than I get from the local paper. Over the last few months, the Sunday Opinion section seems to have begun slowly disappearing.
First, there was the roundup of cartoons. I thought it was great -- once, or once a month, but each week! Then came Michael Lewis -- he was amusing the first time and maybe even the second. But I was beginning to miss the analysis of world events that I always loved.
This week, the entire front was one long comic strip and the back page was a huge map. I know there is more going on in the world than the Opinion section leads one to believe. Where must I go these days for the in-depth coverage I always savored from The Times?

For two weeks, comics are on the front page of Sunday Opinion. Please go back to your previous format, printing serious articles on the front. If you have nothing important, then publish a survey of the week’s news and other important editorials from home and abroad.
