* Nick Lortz, Hemet: Scored 14 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter to help the Bulldogs rally from a one-point deficit in a 59-49 Sunbelt League victory over Hemet West Valley.
BOYS’ SOCCER
* Luis Toro, Fontana Miller: Scored three goals in a 4-1 Citrus Belt League victory over Redlands East Valley, which was Miller’s second over the three-time defending league champion in less than a week.
* Chris Markstadt/Tommy Smith, West Torrance: Each had a goal and an assist in the final 10 minutes to lead the first-place Warriors to a 2-1 Bay League victory over South Torrance, which had scored in the 65th minute.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
* Erin Henry, Santa Ana Mater Dei: Had five saves in a 0-0 tie against Lakewood St. Joseph in a Serra League game, producing her seventh shutout of the season for the Monarchs, ranked No. 6 in Southern Section Division I.
GIRLS’ WATER POLO
* Coral Kemp, El Segundo: Scored a season-high six goals in an 8-4 Ocean League victory over Santa Monica. The Eagles are ranked second in Southern Section Division VI; Santa Monica is No. 4.
* Stephanie Peckham, Santa Margarita: Stopped 13 shots in a 7-6 double-overtime victory over Long Beach Wilson. The Eagles are ranked No. 3 in Southern Section Division I; Wilson is No. 4.
