The 10-year NFL veteran was arrested in April when police broke up a high-stakes card game at his home. Fuller was charged with maintaining a gambling house, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and misdemeanor gambling.

Prosecutor Matt Smith said the former Florida State standout had a weapon on him while a card game was being played and received part of the pot for hosting the game.

“He was standing around the table like a pit boss ... he took his cut,” Smith said in his opening statement.

If convicted, Fuller could face a maximum five-year sentence and $5,000 fine.
