Boeing Co., the world’s second-biggest commercial jet maker, said it delivered 85 commercial airplanes in the second quarter, a 13% increase from a year ago.

The deliveries included 59 of its 737 model and 14 of its 777s, Chicago-based Boeing said. The total in the first six months of the year is 155 planes, compared with 151 for the same period in 2004.

Boeing expects to deliver 320 commercial jets this year and 375 to 380 next year, helped by demand from Asian and Middle Eastern airlines, which are serving more first-time air travelers.
