BUZZ CLUBS

Off we go, into the wild blue yonder

So the hottest club this summer? Think blue. As in Dodger blue. The boys of summer are partying at their new clubhouse, the Martini Bar, part of Dodger Stadium’s $20-million renovation. Located inside the Dugout Club, the swanky lounge has poured some cool ones for Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake, Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, Alyssa Milano, Adam Sandler, John Cusack and “Field of Dreams” playa Ray Liotta. Not to mention the guys in the actual blue (ballplayers Brad Penny, Eric Gagne and Derek Lowe are regulars). The price of admission? A whopping $375. But it includes a great seat, plenty of chow and mucho eye candy.... And speaking of grand slam-o-ramas, promoter Pantera Sarah’s opening night last Thursday at the Cabana Club (formerly the Sunset Room) brought out such luminaries as Tori Spelling, Pink, Hugh Hefner, Breckin Meyer, Maroon 5 and Ashlee and Jessica Simpson.... And speaking of Daisy Duke, Jessica Simpson celebrated her birthday Saturday with a good old-fashioned hoedown at her parents’ Encino crib. Among those who got jiggy to the nerd-wave cover band, the Spazmatics, were Quentin Tarantino, Christian Slater, Joaquin Phoenix, Seth Green, Eva Mendes, Mandy Moore, Jake Gyllenhaal and Cris Judd. The party also featured a Betty Boop cake, and guests went home with a gift bag -- containing a couple grand worth of swag courtesy of Silverspoon. Dang.

Backstage basking

It was Christmas in July for kids lucky enough to find an angle and get backstage at Jesse McCartney’s Sunday show at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City. Those who made it got to pose with him for Polaroids. Judging by the fervor of his fans, he’s bigger than Elvis. (I had an easier time getting in to see Sting at the Roxy.) And word to opening act Monet, a 15-year-old who wowed parental units by strapping on her pink Daisy Rock guitar and blazing into Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog.” Girl’s got rhythm.... Ed Hardy’s throwing a party. This time, the clothier is hosting a five-day DJ-driven affair behind Horn on Robertson Boulevard starting Friday.... So many RSVPs, so little time. Wednesday is a triple-header: It’s the opening of Broadway Bar downtown; there is the post-party for “Hustle & Flow,” a Brent Bolthouse blowout at the Cabana Club; and Rabin Rodgers is tossing a fashionista soup at the Hollywood Roosevelt to mark the launch of the men’s collection by Citizens of Humanity, a clothing firm whose jeans hug the buns of Cameron Diaz, Kate Moss and Renee Zellweger.
