EA Buys More Rights to ‘Lord of the Rings’

Electronic Arts Inc. received the rights to develop games based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings” books.
Electronic Arts already sells games based on the three movies made from Tolkien’s stories. The expansion of the rights allows it to add characters and creatures that weren’t in the films, the Redwood City, Calif., company said.
