Soldier Kills 8 in Shooting Rampage

A South Korean soldier threw a grenade and went on a shooting rampage near the border with North Korea, killing eight soldiers and injuring two others, the Defense Ministry said.
The attack by the soldier, 22, happened near Yeoncheon, about 40 miles north of Seoul.
It wasn’t clear what prompted the incident, but South Korea’s Yonhap news agency quoted military officials as saying the soldier was frustrated with military life.
